About Me

Educational History:

Growing up I attended school at Fort Towson Oklahoma and graduated in 1997.  Go Tigers!  I was a 12 year student there.  Lived in a tiny community called Frogville where I had a wonderful childhood surrounded by a loving family. Following high school graduation I attended SOSU and eventually earned my Bachelor’s degree.

Degrees and Certifications:

I currently hold a Bahelor’s of Science degree in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education.

Current Position:

I attended SOSU and obtained my teaching certificate in December of 2003.  I then began my teaching career here at Calera the following fall of 2004. I have now been teaching for 17 years.  This is my 18th adn I am proud to say that all 18 years have been right here in this very classroom teaching 3rd graders.  Now,  I am a BULLDOG through and through.

Family Information:

I am blessed to be married to Mr. Thralls. We just celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary. We have three wonderful children plus a sweet  daugter-in-law; Bryce who is married to Logan, Kristian, and Kaysun.  Bryce is works at Vision Bank in Durant and is currently attending Seminary, Krisitian is a full time college student at Southeastern, and my daughter Kaysun is a sophomore here at Calera.  Mr Thralls and I live in Roberta with our two youngest, Kristian and Kaysun.  We enjoy raising and showing livestock, participating in church and community events, sports, and being outdoors.

Personal Information:

I love slow mornings with coffee on the porch, reading books on my kindle, and supporting my children in their activities.   We attend church at Reynold’s Chapel in Bokchito where my husband pastors. We thoroughly enjoy serving together.
